Eligibility |
| |
Entry age: minimum 25 years; maximum: 60 years – for people who are pre-diabetic or type 2 diabetic (those with adult diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance) |

Sum assured options available are: Rs.3 lacs, Rs.5 lacs, or Rs.10 lacs. |
| |
Policy duration: 5 years |

Benefit payment |
| |
A lump sum amount is paid on the diagnosis of the any one of the six dreaded diseases, viz: |
| |
1. Heart Attack |
| |
2. Coronary Artery Bypass Graft |
| |
3. Cancer |
| |
4. Stroke |
| |
5. Kidney Failure / End stage renal disease |
| |
6. Major organ transplant for the recipient |
| |

Enhanced benefit rider |
| |
The diabetic people can enroll for a rider that will offer an additional payout of 10 percent of the basic sum assured in the event of: |

1. LASER treatment for diabetic retinopathy |
| |
2. Limb Amputation |
| |
These treatments / surgeries being carried out resulting due to complications arising because of diabetes, and subject to the conditions imposed under the policy. |

‘Wellness program’ |
| |
The plan provides the assured the provision of three diagnostic checks and one consultation every year, absolutely free. This facility will be available with the network of the empanelled diagnostic centres and 175 doctors. |

The collection of blood samples for testing from the home of the policy holder / assured has also been provided under the plan. |
| |

Premium reduction |
| |
The premium payable under the plan can be reduced to maximum 30%, on the maintenance of good health by the assured as confirmed by the periodic health check-ups. The Diabetes Control Index includes factors such as HbA1c, blood pressure, lipids and weight that determine the extent of the good health as applicable to the 3 age brackets defined under the index. |

The reduction will be applicable for the premium payable in the next year of the year of maintaining good health. |

Assistance via internet |
| |
The insurance company shall be providing the following assistance to the assured, as the web support initiative, under this policy. |
| |
- Monitoring of Diabetes through an Index
- Tracking of the medical results
- Locating a doctor or a gymnasium near the assured
- Posting of a query to the doctor

Tax Benefit |
| |
The premium payable under the plan is eligible for deduction under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act 1961. |
